Our clients come from a wide range of sectors including manufacturing, textile, automotive, chemical processing, food & beverage, packaging, plastics, metal, transportation, government, services, office & trades.
Our Team
OSHTECH history dates back to the early 1980's, but was formally incorporated in 1994 as a full service provider of Occupational and Environmental Hygiene, Health, Safety, Ergonomics & Environmental Engineering consulting. The joint venture was established by staff from the Centre for Occupational Health and Safety at the University of Waterloo and from the Occupational Health and Safety Resource Centre at the University of Western Ontario.
Dr. Peter Pityn manages the Occupational and Environmental Hygiene Services Groups, which includes environmental engineering. He also is responsible for new programs and outreach.
Dr. Stepan Reut is the head of Laboratory Services, which includes the validation of new analytical methods. Dr. Reut is also responsible for research and development.
Kevin Schouppe manages the Ergonomics Group, which includes heat stress services. He is also an Associate Faculty Member at Conestoga College where he teaches "Fundamentals of Ergonomics", a 36-hour credit course in the Certificate of Occupational Health & Safety program.
OSHTECH has a fully integrated team of specialists, who combine their resources and talents to offer unique and specialized consulting, training and laboratory services. In addition to a full complement of technical services, equipment, and resources, OSHTECH owns and operates an American Industrial Hygiene Association (AIHA) Accredited Laboratory.
